Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Cooked rajma beans
  • 3 - Potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1- Onion (big and chopped)
  • 3 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seed powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Salt
  • 3 tbsp - Corn flour
  • Rolled oats (for crust)
  • Oil

How to Make Oats Crusted Rajma Balls

  • Heat a few drops of oil and saute the onions and green chillies along with fennel seed powder and coriander leaves until the onions turns translucent.
  • Put off the stove and let them cook.
  • Mash the cooked rajma beans. Take the mashed beans along with mashed potatoes, cooked onions, garam masala powder and salt.
  • Mix well and make medium-sized balls from the mixture.
  • Make a paste with corn flour and water, drop the balls in the corn flour paste and roll immediately in rolled oats.
  • Finish all the balls and keep in fridge at least for an hour.
  • Heat oil for Deep Frying. Once the oil gets hot, drop the oats crusted rajma balls and fry until the crust turns brown.
  • Drain the excess of oil with a paper towel and serve hot with ketchup.
