Ingredients

  • Oats flour- 1 cup
  • Rice flour- 1 cup
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • White Sesame Seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee- 2 tsp
  • Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Oats Ribbon Pakoda

  • Powder oats in a blender. This forms the oats flour.
  • In a bowl add oats flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt, white sesame seeds, asafoetida and ghee.
  • Add water little by little to form a chapathi like dough.
  • Take a dough press or achu(murukku maker) and place a big ball of dough.
  • Squeeze the mixture into hot oil.
  • Cook on one side and flip to cook on the other.
  • Wait till golden brown. Take out once done.
  • Serve hot with coffee.
