Ingredients

  • Ginger (Preferably the reddish, thread less variety) - 250 g
  • Lemon Juice - 100 ml
  • Salt - 1.5 tsp
  • Chilli flakes (optional) - 3/4 tsp

How to Make Oil free ginger pickle

  • Peel and slice ginger into 1-inch strips. Put them in a dry sterilized glass bottle.
  • Add juice of about 4 to 5 limes or lemons, roughly enough to cover the ginger.
  • Add salt and chilli flakes.
  • Keep it in the sun or near a heat source for about 5 days.
  • It is ready to eat.
