How to Make Onion Palya

  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Saute mustard, curry leaves, cumin until they splutter. Add onions and fry until golden brown.
  • Add the tamarind juice, sambar powder and salt (as per taste) with water and stir well.
  • Cook 10-15 minutes until the onion cooks.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Have it with for rice, chapatti or roti.
