  • 2 tsp - Baking powder
  • 200 gms - Butter
  • A fistful of castor sugar, for dusting
  • 5 - Eggs, separated
  • 250 gms - Maida
  • 125 ml - Lemon juice
  • Lemon rinds
  • 125 ml - Orange juice
  • Orange rinds
  • 250 gms - Sugar

How to Make Orange and Lemon Cake

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg yolks and beat well.
  • Gradually add orange, lemon juices and rinds.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder and add it to the butter-sugar mixture. Fold in egg white.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased pan and bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 degree C for 45 mins.
  • Sprinkle castor sugar and decorate with fresh fruits of your choice.
