  • 2 tsp - Baking powder
  • 200 gms - Butter
  • A fistful of castor sugar, for dusting
  • 5 - Eggs, separated
  • 250 gms - Maida
  • 125 ml - Lemon juice
  • Lemon rinds
  • 125 ml - Orange juice
  • Orange rinds
  • 250 gms - Sugar
  • How to Make Orange and Lemon Cake:

    1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    2. Add egg yolks and beat well.
    3. Gradually add orange, lemon juices and rinds.
    4. Sift together flour, baking powder and add it to the butter-sugar mixture. Fold in egg white.
    5. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 degree C for 45 mins.
    6. Sprinkle castor sugar and decorate with fresh fruits of your choice.
