  • 1 - Egg
  • 3/4 cup - Orange juice
  • 1.25 cups - Milk
  • 1.5 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp - grated cheese powder
  • Few Mint leaves for garnishing
  • 1/4 tsp - grated Orange rind
  • How to Make Orange Floats:

    1. Separate egg yolk and egg white. Beat white till stiff.
    2. In a flat sauce pan, bring to boil 3/4 cup milk and keep simmering.
    3. Drop 1 tbsp egg white at a time in simmering milk.
    4. Slowly spoon little milk on the top of float and cook for a minute
    5. Remove and keep aside. Repeat this for remaining egg white.
    6. Boil the 1/2 cup milk with the remaining of boiled milk, while adding 1 tbsp sugar. Remove from fire when sugar melts, cool slightly.
    7. Lightly beat the egg yolk.
    8. Keep the milk vessel over a hot water pan, and add egg yolk.
    9. Beat with egg beater till thick.
    10. Pour the mixture in a serving bowl. Chill it.
    11. In a bowl, mix together orange juice, orange rind, cheese powder and 1/2 tbsp sugar.
    12. Pour the orange juice mixture over chilled milk-egg mixture.
    13. Sprinkle some nutmeg.
    14. Garnish with mint leaves.
    15. Chill before serving.
