Ingredients

  • 350 g - beansprouts
  • 6 Spring onions
  • 100 g - button Mushrooms
  • 2 slices - fresh Pineapple
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 green pepper
  • 100 g - peeled and cooked Prawns
  • For the Dressing:
  • 2 tsps - soya sauce
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 2 tbsps - oil
  • good pinch castor Sugar
  • good pinch dry mustard
  • good pinch pepper

How to Make Oriental Salad

  • Rinse beansprouts well with cold water.
  • Peel and cut carrots into matchsticks.
  • Thinly slice pepper, discarding seeds and core.
  • Wash and trim spring onions, cut into 2 small wedges.
  • Wash and thinly slice mushrooms.
  • Cut pineapple into small wedges.
  • Place all prepared ingredients into a salad bowl with prawns and mix well. Prepare dressing.
  • Peel and very finely chop ginger if using, place in a small jar with remaining dressing ingredients.
  • Shake well. Pour over salad just before serving.
