  • 3 cups - butter milk
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • Ginger- 1/4 inch
  • 1-2 - green chillies
  • Coconut (dry or fresh)- a little piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro- few leaves

How to Make Pacchi Majjiga

  • Grind all the above ingredients into a paste and mix it with the buttermilk.
  • Garnish the butter milk with cilantro leaves and season using mustard seeds, cumin and curry leaves. This does not require any boiling of the butter milk.
  • Seasoning is done by using a tsp of oil in a pan. Put a few mustard seeds. Wait for them to splutter. Add cumin and curry leaves. This tastes delicious and takes only 5 mins.
