How to Make Palak Channa Pulao-Spinach Chickpeas Pulao

  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil and fry the bay leaves, shah jeera until they turn brown.
  • Add the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and saute until the onions turn translucent.
  • Now add the already prepared spinach puree, garam masala powder to the pan and cook on simmer for a few minutes.
  • Finally add the cooked chickpeas and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Add the cooked rice to this palak-chickpeas mixture, toss everything gently until the rice gets well coated with the masala.
  • Take off heat, add pepper powder and give a gentle toss again.
  • Serve with raita.
