  • Palak - 1/2 kg, chopped
  • Tur dal - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut Milk - 1 cup
  • Onion - 2, finely chopped
  • Curry powder - 2 tsps
  • Red Chilli powder - 2 tsps
  • Coriander leaves
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard and Cumin seeds - 1 tsp each
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Palak Sabzi:

    1. Cook the palak and tur dal in a pressure cooker (about 2 whistles).
    2. In the meantime, heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan or vessel. Add the cumin and mustard seeds along with the curry leaves.
    3. Add the onions followed by ginger-garlic paste.
    4. Fry the onions until golden brown, then add coconut milk.
    5. Add a little turmeric, curry powder and red chilli powder based on your proportions.
    6. When the ingredients leave an aroma, add salt and let the gravy boil.
    7. Mix the palak-tuvar dal mixture to the gravy.
    8. Allow the preparation to cook well.
    9. Serve with rice or chapatti, garnished with coriander leaves.
