How to Make Pan-Fried Bananas

  • Grate the peel of one orange, then squeeze all the oranges and the lemon / lime.
  • Whip the cream until half thick and refrigerate.
  • Peel the bananas and cut in half lengthwise.
  • Heat half the butter in a frying pan and fry the banana halves on both sides.
  • Remove from the pan and put to one side.
  • Heat the rest of the butter in the same pan, then sprinkle the sugar and dissolve, stirring all the time.
  • Add the orange and lime / lemon juice and the grated orange peel. Cook over high flame for two or three minutes or until it caramelises slightly.
  • Put the bananas in the sauce and cook quickly.
  • Arrange on plates and serve garnished with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
