Ingredients

  • To prepare the kozhukattai:
  • 1 cup - Rice flour
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • To prepare the poornam:
  • 1 cup - grated Paneer
  • 1 tbsp - finely chopped Almonds
  • 1 tbsp - finely chopped Pistachios
  • 1 tbsp - finely chopped Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 1 cup - powdered Jaggery
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • How to Make Paneer Dry Fruit Kozhukattai:

    1. Make the jaggery syrup by heating the jaggery in a thick bottom kadai.
    2. Filter the syrup to get rid of the dust particles.
    3. Heat ghee in a kadai and roast the dry fruits lightly.
    4. Add all these to the jaggery syrup along with the cardamom powder. Heat them till they get to a thickened poornam mixture.
    5. For the kozhukattai, heat 1 cup of water in a kadai.
    6. Add a little salt to the water.
    7. When water boils, add rice flour and stir well.
    8. Once the flour thickens, remove from fire and set aside.
    9. Mix the dough well with a little oil and make small balls out of the mixture.
    10. Flatten the balls and then press with your thumb to get a cup shape.
    11. Fill it in the poornam and then steam cook the kozhukattai.
