Pasta Salad

100 gms - uncooked pasta.

1 tbsp - oil.

2 to 3 tbsp - basic dressing.

1 - medium sized onion.

12 - black olives| To garnish:

1 tbsp - chopped Parsley or other fresh herbs.


  1. Cook the pasta in plenty of fast boiling salted water with a tbsp of oil. It will take about 10 mins, more or less, but do not over cook.
  2. As soon as it just done, pour into a colander and rinse with cold water to stop further cooking.
  3. Drain and mix with the salad dressing straight away.
  4. Peel and finely chop the onion, stone the olives.
  5. Stir all these into the pasta and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top.
  6. You could also use many other ingredients such as chopped peppers or tinned fish to spice up your salad.
