Ingredients

  • 2 litre - milk.
  • 200 gms - rice.
  • 200 gms - soft jaggery.
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder.
  • 1/4 tsp - nutmeg powder.
  • 2 tbsp - chopped almonds.
  • 2 tbsp - chopped pistachios.
  • 6-7 strands of Kesar.

How to Make Payesh

  • Wash rice and let it dry.
  • Boil milk for 15 minutes.
  • Add rice and let it cook till milk thickens and rice is cooked.
  • Add kesar, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  • Add jaggery and mix well till jaggery melts.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Garnish with almonds and pistachios.
