Ingredients

  • Split peas - 1 cup.
  • green Cabbage - 1/2 cup, chopped.
  • Green chillies - 2 chopped.
  • Onions - 1/4 cup, chopped.
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp.
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp.
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp.
  • Jeera 1/2 - tsp.
  • Besan/ Maida - 1 to 2 tsps.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Peas Bade:

    1. Soak the split peas for 5-6 hours.
    2. Then grind it into a thick paste.
    3. Add 1/2 cup of chopped green cabbage, 1/4 cup chopped onions and 1-2 chopped green chillies.
    4. Then 1 tsp of red powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, and 1/2 tsp of garam masala, jeera and salt to taste. Add a little besan or maida to it.
    5. Now mix all the ingredients and add the coriander leaves.
    6. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry.
    7. Serve it with chutney or sauce.
