  • 2 - raw bananas (pressure cooked and smashed)
  • 1 tsp - ginger (chopped finely)
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - fennel seeds (crushed)
  • 2 - dry red chillies
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup - grated coconut
  • Salt
  • Oil

How to Make Pepper Raw Banana Podimas

  • Heat enough oil, splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, crushed fennel seeds.
  • Add immediately the chopped ginger, saute for few seconds, add immediately the smashed raw banana pieces, salt, turmeric powder, sprinkle some water and cook everything in simmer for few minutes.
  • Finally add the grated coconut, pepper powder and cook for few more minutes and turn off the stove.
