How to Make Peppered Mutton Curry

  • Clean and wash the mutton chops.
  • Lightly heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add onions and saute on a low flame.
  • Before they turn golden add bay leaves, Kashmiri chillies and ginger-garlic paste.
  • Saute till the onions turn golden.
  • Add the mutton chops, salt and saute on a low flame for 10 mins.
  • Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Add tomatoes and cook on a low flame for few minutes till the tomatoes are tender.
  • Add a cup of water and mix well.
  • Pressure cook till 3 whistles.
  • Cool completely and open the cooker.
  • Add coriander-cumin seed powder and mix well.
  • Simmer for five minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice or rotis.
