Ingredients

  • 1 cup - moong dal (soak overnight).
  • 4 - red chillies.
  • 1/4 inch - Ginger (as per taste).
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin.
  • Ingredients for filling:
  • 1 cup - chopped onion.
  • Cilantro.
  • Cheese singles.
  • Parmesan Cheese (grated)|

How to Make Pesarattu Rolls

  • Blend the soaked moong dal and the rest of the ingredients to a thick batter. Allow it to rise for half an hour.
  • On a non-stick tava/iron griddle, spread the batter to a fine dosa (not too small or big).
  • Now, take the pesarattu, place the cheese single or spread any cheese of your choice, top with chopped onions, cilantro, parmesan cheese and roll.
  • Cut (French cut) the rolls to smaller size and microwave for 10 seconds (for the cheese to melt).
  • On the serving plate, place the rolls and prick tooth picks to hold them together. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with spicy chutney.
