  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2.5 cups - water
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilly
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • Mustard seeds

How to Make Pittore

  • Mix flour with water in a pan. Avoid lumps.
  • Add red chilly + turmeric + salt and mix.
  • Heat on medium flame by stirring well continuously.
  • Cook till it is semi-solid.
  • Grease the plate and apply hot paste evenly on it.
  • On cooling, cut into long strips of 4 inch width and roll.
  • Cut the rolls into 1-inch wide pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan & splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add the rolls and mix gently.
  • Serve with chapattis.
