  • 2 cups - besan ( gram flour)
  • 2 cups - Coconut (grated )
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 2.5 cups - Sugar
  • How to Make Plain Besan Burfi:

    1. Add all the ingredients together in a thick bottom vessel. Mix nicely with hand or spoon for 2-3 minutes.
    2. Cook over medium heat, while stirring every 2 minutes.
    3. When it thickness, lower the flame and allow to thicken further before taking it off the stove.
    4. Pour this thick batter on to a plate greased with ghee.
    5. In 5 minutes, the batter will harden and you can cut into whatever shape you like (either diamond or square).
