  • 2 cups - besan ( gram flour)
  • 2 cups - coconut (grated )
  • 2 cups - milk
  • 1 cup - ghee
  • 2.5 cups - sugar

How to Make Plain Besan Burfi

  • Add all the ingredients together in a thick bottom vessel. Mix nicely with hand or spoon for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cook over medium heat, while stirring every 2 minutes.
  • When it thickness, lower the flame and allow to thicken further before taking it off the stove.
  • Pour this thick batter on to a plate greased with ghee.
  • In 5 minutes, the batter will harden and you can cut into whatever shape you like (either diamond or square).
