Ingredients

  • 1 pint - Ice Cream
  • 1 - beaten Egg
  • 1/4 tsp - Vanilla
  • 2.5 cups - Sweetened cornflakes
  • 1/2 tsp - Ground Cinnamon
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
  • How to Make Plain Fried ice cream:

    1. Place 4 scoops of ice cream in a pan. Allow it to freeze for two hours.
    2. In a small mixing bowl, mix egg and vanilla.
    3. In a pie plate, carefully stir cereal and cinnamon together.
    4. Dip each frozen ice-cream ball in the egg mixture and then roll them in the cereal mixture.
    5. Return coated ice cream balls to freezer and freeze for an hour.
    6. Reserve the remaining cereal mixture.
    7. In a small mixing bowl, stir the egg and vanilla again.
    8. Remove coated ice cream ball from the freezer.
    9. Dip the balls in the egg mixture and then roll them in the cereal mixture.
    10. Then freeze them again for 2 hours.
    11. In a deep pan, fry the coated ice cream balls for 15 seconds or till golden brown.
    12. Drain on paper towel. Return the fried ice cream balls to freezer while frying the remaining balls.
    13. Serve immediately.
