Ingredients

  • 1 pint - Ice Cream
  • 1 - beaten Egg
  • 1/4 tsp - Vanilla
  • 2.5 cups - Sweetened cornflakes
  • 1/2 tsp - Ground Cinnamon
  • Cooking oil for deep frying

How to Make Plain Fried ice cream

  • Place 4 scoops of ice cream in a pan. Allow it to freeze for two hours.
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix egg and vanilla.
  • In a pie plate, carefully stir cereal and cinnamon together.
  • Dip each frozen ice-cream ball in the egg mixture and then roll them in the cereal mixture.
  • Return coated ice cream balls to freezer and freeze for an hour.
  • Reserve the remaining cereal mixture.
  • In a small mixing bowl, stir the egg and vanilla again.
  • Remove coated ice cream ball from the freezer.
  • Dip the balls in the egg mixture and then roll them in the cereal mixture.
  • Then freeze them again for 2 hours.
  • In a deep pan, fry the coated ice cream balls for 15 seconds or till golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towel. Return the fried ice cream balls to freezer while frying the remaining balls.
  • Serve immediately.
