How to Make Plain Lobia ki curry (black eyed beans curry)

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, saute onions till transparent.
  • Now add ginger and garlic paste and stir.
  • Cook till light brown in colour.
  • Add tomatoes and stir.
  • When soft, add salt, turmeric, chilli powder, green chillies, some coriander leaves, garam masala, coconut and mix well.
  • Cook till oil separates.
  • Now add yogurt and stir.
  • Cook for 5 mins, stirring often.
  • Add lobia and pour enough water to cook the peas.
  • Now pressure cook up to 4 whistles.
  • When done, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
