Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Rice
  • 1 cup - cabbage, shredded
  • 5 flakes - garlic, crushed
  • 2 Onions - sliced
  • 2 - capsicums, sliced
  • 6 tbsp - oil
  • 3 tbsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Mexican Rice:

    1. Boil the rice with salt. Each grain should be separate.
    2. In a broad vessel, heat oil and fry the onions till golden brown. Keep aside.
    3. In the same oil, fry capsicums for a minute. Keep aside.
    4. Then fry cabbage for 2 mins. Keep aside.
    5. In the remaining oil, fry crushed garlic for a minute.
    6. Add soya sauce, chilli powder and salt.
    7. Stir and add rice, onions, cabbage and capsicum. Mix well.
    8. Serve with hot sauce.
