Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - gram flour
  • 3 tbsp - ghee, melted
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander seed powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seed powder
  • 1/4 - shah jira
  • 1/2 tsp - ajwain (carom seeds)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee to drizzle
  • How to Make Plain Missi Roti:

    1. Mix all ingredients, except ghee to drizzle.
    2. Make 14-15 portions of dough.
    3. Knead each one well.
    4. Roll into 8 inch rounds, roast both sides well on hot griddle.
    5. Aid roasting by pressing with a wooden presser.
    6. When golden and crisp, drizzle a little ghee on top.
    7. Fold in half and serve hot.
