Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups - wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - gram flour
  • 3 tbsp - ghee, melted
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander seed powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seed powder
  • 1/4 - shah jira
  • 1/2 tsp - ajwain (carom seeds)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee to drizzle

How to Make Plain Missi Roti

  • Mix all ingredients, except ghee to drizzle.
  • Make 14-15 portions of dough.
  • Knead each one well.
  • Roll into 8 inch rounds, roast both sides well on hot griddle.
  • Aid roasting by pressing with a wooden presser.
  • When golden and crisp, drizzle a little ghee on top.
  • Fold in half and serve hot.
