Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - Tur dal
  • 1/4 cup - Moong dal
  • 1/4 cup -Groundnuts (soaked overnight)
  • 10 pods - Garlic
  • 2 tsp - Ginger, chopped
  • 6-8 - Red Chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 tsp - Mustard
  • 1 - Tomato
  • Coriander leaves - a few, chopped
  • 2 tsp - Oil

How to Make Plain Mixed dal

  • Keep soaked the groundnuts aside.
  • Soak the other dals for an hour before the cooking time.
  • Now pressure cook all the dals and the groundnuts.
  • Chop the onion and the tomato.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter the mustard seeds and the red chillies.
  • Add onion, tomato, salt and garlic and the cooked dals to it.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
