  • 250g - Paneer (cut into cubes)
  • 200g - Green peas (peeled)
  • 5 tbsp - oil
  • 3 medium-sized - Onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 4 medium sized - Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 inch piece - Ginger (crushed)
  • 1.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 cups - water
  • oil for deep frying
  • finely chopped Coriander leaves (to garnish)
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Mutter paneer:

    1. Deep fry the paneer pieces till it is golden in colour and keep it aside.
    2. Lightly heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel, saute onions and green chillies on a low flame till the onions are golden in colour.
    3. Add the tomatoes, ginger and salt.
    4. Cook on a low flame till the tomatoes are soft.
    5. Add the powdered masalas and cook till the oil separates.
    6. Remove it from the stove and blend the onion tomato mixture.
    7. Add the green peas and saute on a low flame for 8-10 mins.
    8. Add water and cook on a low flame till the peas are done.
    9. Add the paneer pieces and simmer for a few minutes.
    10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with steamed rice.
