Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 3, medium sized (boiled and mashed).
  • Green chillies - 4 -5.
  • Grated Coconut - 4 -5 tbsp.
  • Lime juice - 2 -3 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • oil - 1 tbsp| For the seasoning:
  • Mustard seeds, urad dal, Channa dal - 1/2 tsp.
  • 1 Dried red chilli (optional).
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves.
  • How to Make Plain Potato Podimas:

    1. Heat the oil in a pan.
    2. Add the mustard seeds first and when it begins to splutter add the rest of the seasoning.
    3. Now add the cut green chillies, fry for a minute and then add the mashed potatoes and salt.
    4. Mix everything well, cover it and let it cook for five minutes.
    5. Just before serving, add the coconut and lime juice.
    6. Serve with rice.
