  • 4 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp - ajwain
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Puri:

    1. For the dough:
    2. Sieve wheat flour with salt.
    3. Add small amount of vegetable oil in it.
    4. Add ajwain water in it and mix it very well.
    5. Make a smooth dough.
    6. For Puri:
    7. Make small rolls of dough.
    8. Roll it like chapatti (but it should be slightly thicker than chapatti and should be smaller in size).
    9. Make 3 to 4 puris like this and keep it aside.
    10. Heat the vegetable oil in heavy fry pan.
    11. Fry these pre-prepared puris in oil.
    12. Fry both the sides in oil at med-high flame until it becomes golden brown in colour.
    13. Serve it hot with green chutney/mango pickle or with aloo curry and tea.
