Ingredients

  • 4 slices- White or Wheat bread
  • 150 g - semolina
  • 50 g - Fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp - Ginger and chilli paste
  • 50 ml - Oil for shallow frying
  • 1/4 tsp - Baking powder
  • 200 ml - Water
  • salt to taste

How to Make Plain Semolina Pancake

  • Coarsely grind the bread slices in a mixer.
  • Take the ground bread, semolina, add the baking powder to it and mix thoroughly.
  • Now add water till a thick paste is formed.
  • Add the fenugreek leaves, 2 tsp oil and ginger chilli paste.
  • Add salt and mix thoroughly.
  • Add water till it reaches a smooth consistency.
  • Heat 4 tsp of oil in a thick bottom pan on a medium flame.
  • Now pour one big spoon of the mixture in the pan and spread it out.
  • Gently turn it around and add 1 tsp of oil on it, cook both the sides well.
