Ingredients

  • 6 cups - water
  • 3 cups - uncooked white rice
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tbsps - sesame oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 pound - precooked shrimp
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3/4 cup - pea pods, cut in half
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • soy sauce to taste

How to Make Plain Shrimp Fried rice

  • Boil rice in slightly salted water for 20 minutes.
  • Scramble the eggs in a small amount of sesame oil.
  • Remove from heat once scrambled.
  • Fry celery till brown in sesame oil.
  • Add shrimp and carrots, onion, celery, red pepper, pea pods, and green pepper.
  • Add white rice and stir well.
  • Add soy sauce and eggs, stir thoroughly.
