Ingredients

  • 70 g - broad beans
  • 50 g - Vadi (lentil)
  • 120 g - Bitter gourd (karela)
  • 120 g - Ridge gourd (turai)
  • 120 g - parval
  • 4 - Drumstick (sajina)
  • 120 g - white pumpkin
  • 1 tsp - radhuni
  • 3 tsp - Khus Khus
  • 3 tsp - mustard
  • 40 g - dhara oil
  • salt
  • 100 ml - Coconut Milk
  • How to Make Plain Shukto:

    1. Cut the vegetables into sticks and keep it aside.
    2. Grind the radhuni, khus khus and mustard to a smooth paste.
    3. Take oil in a kadai and saute the vegetables.
    4. Cover for 5 minutes till tender.
    5. Add the ground masala and stir for 3 minutes.
    6. Add the coconut milk and salt. Add some water.
    7. Cook till vegetables are tender.
    8. Fry vadi till golden brown. Mix with shukto.
    9. Serve hot.
