Ingredients

  • 1 cup - boiled Rice
  • 15 pieces - jack fruit
  • 1/2 cup - grated Coconut
  • 1 cup - grated Jaggery
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 1 - Plantain leaf
  • How to Make Plantain Leaf Adai:

    1. Soak rice in water for 2 hours.
    2. Drain the water and keep aside.
    3. Grind the rice with jackfruit, grated jaggery, grated coconut along with cardamom for 5 mins without water.
    4. The dough should be coarse and not smooth.
    5. Cut the plantain leaves to small pieces.
    6. Take 1 tbsp of ground flour and place it in the centre of the leaf, spread the flour gently using a spoon and then fold the leaf
    7. Fold the corners of the leaf again to form a square.
    8. Keep the folded and stuffed plantain leaves in a idly plate
    9. Steam cook elai adai for 5 -6 minutes
    10. Serve hot.
