  • 4 cups - Aval pori
  • 1/2 cup - grated Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp - finely chopped Coconut pieces
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Pori Urundai:

    1. Add jaggery in a pan with 1/2 cup of water and when it dissolves, strain to remove sand.
    2. Boil the jaggery water again along with coconut and keep stirring until the jaggery comes to a stone-like consistency - when a drop of jaggery syrup is dropped in water, it should not dissolve rather you should be able to roll it into a ball.
    3. Now remove the jaggery from flame and add the Aval pori/Nell Pori and mix it well along with cardamom powder.
