1/2 kg -
1/2 cup - fried onion.
2 tbsp - roasted sesame seeds and peanuts.
1 tsp - garam masala.
1 tsp -
1/4 tsp - coriander powder.
1/4 tsp - chilli powder.
a pinch -
1 tsp -
5 tbsp - oil or ghee.
2 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves.
2 tbsp - yogurt.
How to Make Pot Chicken
First slice the onion and fry it in oil or ghee till it turns golden brown and crispy.
In a mixer, add the roasted sesame and peanut (skin removed) and little water to make a paste.
In a bowl add all the ingredients except chicken and fried onion.
Mix it nicely and then add the chicken pieces and the fried onion.
Let this mixture stand for an hour.
Now heat the pan and add 2 tbsp oil or ghee.
Add the entire contents of the chicken in the pan and cover and let it cook for 30 mins.
Keep stirring in between to prevent the curry from sticking to the pan.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapattis or naan.
