Ingredients

  • 3 - Potatoes boiled and sliced in roundels
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp - garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - grated, cheese
  • 1 tsp - mixed herbs
  • How to Make Potato Au Gratin:

    1. Heat 1 tbsp butter. Saute onions and garlic for 1 minute. Add potatoes and saute till a little brown (be careful not to break them).
    2. To make white sauce: Heat 1 tbsp butter and add 1 tbsp corn flour. Cook for 1 minute. Add 2 cups milk and cook till a little thick.
    3. Preheat convection oven at 180 C.
    4. Grease ovenproof dish.
    5. Pour a little white sauce on the base.
    6. Layer with onion-potato mixture.
    7. Pour white sauce. Grate cheese.
    8. Garnish with mixed herbs and bake for 20 minutes.
