  • 4 - potato.
  • 1 tsp - turmeric.
  • 1 - onion, chopped.
  • 2- green chillies, chopped.
  • 1 tsp - mustard.
  • 1 tsp - cumin.
  • Curry leaves.
  • A little sugar.
  • oil.
  • Salt to taste.
  • A pinch red chilli powder.
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing.

How to Make Potato Sagu

  • Peel, boil and then smash the potatoes.
  • In a pan, saute curry leaves, chopped green chillies, mustard and cumin.
  • Add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Add water. Add the smashed potatoes and stir well.
  • Add salt as per taste, a pinch of sugar and a pinch of red chilli powder.
  • Cook well, garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Enjoy this sagu with rava idlli, dosa or puri.
