  • 2 to 4 - Potatoes (boiled).
  • 1/2 cup - Peanuts (finely chopped).
  • 1/4 tsp - Curry powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Dhania powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Mirchi powder.
  • 1/2 cup - chopped coriander leaves.
  • 1 to 2 - green chillies.
  • 1/2 slice - Ginger.
  • Mustard seeds.
  • Jeera (cumin).
  • oil for frying.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Potatoes in Peanut

  • Boil the potatoes. Mash a few pieces. Cut the remaining into small cubes.
  • In a kadai, put a little oil and keep on a medium flame.
  • When it gets hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  • When mustard seeds splutter, add the curry leaves, ginger and the green chillies.
  • After the chillies are fried, add the finely chopped peanuts in the oil.
  • Fry for some time and don't let the peanuts burn.
  • After this, add the potatoes in.
  • Mix the peanut and the potatoes well.
  • If the oil is less, then add some more.
  • After this, add the dhania powder, mirchi powder and salt to the mixture.
  • Add a little water and let the mixture cook for about 3 mins.
  • After this, add the chopped coriander.
  • Cook for about 2-3 mins more, till the water evaporates.
  • Serve it hot with rotis and curd (yogurt).
