Ingredients

  • 500 gms - Prawns (shelled, tailed and deveined).
  • 1 large onion, chopped.
  • 3 green chillies, deseeded and chopped.
  • 1 tbsp - ginger, chopped.
  • 4 Cloves garlic, chopped.
  • 1 large tomato, chopped.
  • 1.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder.
  • 1.5 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice.
  • 4 tbsp - oil.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Prawn Masaledar:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions on low to medium heat until they are transparent.
    2. Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
    3. Add prawns, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin powder, turmeric powder and saute for 2 mins.
    4. Add 1 cup of water and cook for 2 mins or until prawns are almost done.
    5. Add green chillies, ginger and tomatoes and cook for 2 mins.
    6. Add water if required to achieve the consistency of gravy required.
    7. Finish with lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander.
