Ingredients

  • 500 gm - prawns.
  • 6 tbsp - oil.
  • 6 - medium sized onions, finely chopped.
  • 3 - big tomatoes.
  • 2 tsp - dhanshak powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 2 tsp - sugar.
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar.
  • handful - fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped.
  • Salt.
  • How to Make Prawn Patio:

    1. Clean, de-vein and wash the prawns.
    2. Blanch the tomatoes, remove skin, make into a puree and keep aside.
    3. Lightly heat oil in a kadai, add onions and saute on a low flame till brown.
    4. Add the tomato puree to the onions and mix well.
    5. Add dhanshak powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and salt.
    6. Mix well.
    7. Saute on a low flame till the mixture forms a paste.
    8. Add prawns and mix well.
    9. Add coriander leaves and vinegar.
    10. Cook on a low flame till the prawns are done.
    11. Serve.
