Ingredients

  • 500 gm - prawns.
  • 6 tbsp - oil.
  • 6 - medium sized onions, finely chopped.
  • 3 - big tomatoes.
  • 2 tsp - dhanshak powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 2 tsp - sugar.
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar.
  • handful - fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped.
  • Salt.

How to Make Prawn Patio

  • Clean, de-vein and wash the prawns.
  • Blanch the tomatoes, remove skin, make into a puree and keep aside.
  • Lightly heat oil in a kadai, add onions and saute on a low flame till brown.
  • Add the tomato puree to the onions and mix well.
  • Add dhanshak powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Saute on a low flame till the mixture forms a paste.
  • Add prawns and mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves and vinegar.
  • Cook on a low flame till the prawns are done.
  • Serve.
