  • 1 cup -prawns.
  • 2 cups -basmati Rice washed and soaked for a few minutes.
  • 1 cup - green peas.
  • 1 -onion large.
  • 2 cups -coconut milk.
  • 1/4 tsp -turmeric.
  • 2 tbsp -ghee or oil | Grind to a powder:
  • 4 or 5 -dry red chillies- depending on taste.
  • 3 -cloves.
  • 1 inch stick -cinnamon.
  • 3- cardamom.
  • How to Make Prawn Pulao:

    1. Wash the prawns and marinate in turmeric and salt for 3-5 mins.
    2. Add oil or ghee to a pan and fry onions till golden brown.
    3. Add marinated prawns, green peas and cover and cook for 10 mins.
    4. Add the rice and fry for a few mins.
    5. Add coconut milk, ground powder, salt and 2 cups water.
    6. Cover and cook for 10-15 mins till rice is done.
    7. Serve hot with salad.
