1 pack - Prawns, big or medium sized.
- 1 big sized and chopped.

Red Chilli powder
- 2 tsp for mixture and 3 tsp for cooking.

How to Make Prawn Thokku
Add 2 tsp of red chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric powder, some salt and mix well with the washed prawns.
Keep the prawns aside for some time.
Heat a deep kadai and pour 3 tsps of oil.
After the oil gets heated, add the chopped onions, cloves, cinnamon and saute until brown.
Add the ginger and garlic paste, and fry for 5 minutes.
To this, add a pinch of turmeric powder, tomatoes, red chilli powder, garam masala and fry on a medium fire.
Allow the tomato juice to mix with the other ingredients.
Now add the cleaned prawns to this and mix well. Then add 3 glasses of water.
Let the water dry up and the gravy thicken.
Once the gravy thickens, turn the stove off.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and squeeze some lime juice over it (optional).
