  • 1 cup - grated Pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup - Almond powder
  • 1/4 cup - Ghee
  • 3/4 cup - Sugar
  • 10 - cashew pieces
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Pumpkin Almond Halwa:

    1. Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add the finely grated pumpkin to the hot ghee and stir for a while until the pumpkin dries.
    2. Add the sugar and almond powder. Let the pumpkin pieces cook with sugar for a while. Keep the flame on a medium high and let this cook for 15 minutes.
    3. Add the ghee little by little to the halwa and cook until it separates from the vessel. Add the cardamom powder and cashew pieces.
    4. Simmer for 10 minutes.
    5. Serve hot or chilled.
