How to Make Pumpkin Almond Halwa

  • Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add the finely grated pumpkin to the hot ghee and stir for a while until the pumpkin dries.
  • Add the sugar and almond powder. Let the pumpkin pieces cook with sugar for a while. Keep the flame on a medium high and let this cook for 15 minutes.
  • Add the ghee little by little to the halwa and cook until it separates from the vessel. Add the cardamom powder and cashew pieces.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot or chilled.
