  • 12-15 purple yam cubes
  • 1/8 tsp - black salt
  • 1/8 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • Oil - to deep fry

How to Make Purple Yam Chaat

  • Wash purple yam cubes with fresh water.
  • Drain and pat dry them with a kitchen towel. (Thaw if frozen)
  • Heat oil in a deep pan and carefully slide 5-6 cubes at a time.
  • Deep fry them till they are golden brown in color and their skin has turned crispy.
  • Place them on an absorbent paper for a while to drain excess oil.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle black salt, red chilli powder and pour the lemon juice.
  • Toss it well and serve.
