Ingredients

  • 750 g - Sugar
  • 1 cup - water to make syrup -
  • 500 gm - Maida (infusing self raising flour, don't add soda bicarb)
  • 1/2 tsp - soda bicarb
  • 200 g - Ghee for frying
  • 1 tbsp - Yoghurt
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • Orange food colour
  • How to Make Quick Balushahi:

    1. Mix sugar and water and cook to make syrup -.
    2. Mix other ingredients (except ghee) and adequate water to roll.
    3. Make small patties and fry on low heat.
    4. Soak briefly in syrup and let the syrup-covering on the balushahi dry.
