How to Make Quick Beetroot halwa

  • Peel and grate beetroot.
  • Boil milk and beetroot in a heavy saucepan till thick, stirring occasionally.
  • Once it starts thickening, stir continuously.
  • Add sugar and cook further till it thickens.
  • Add ghee, cardamom, saffron and colour.
  • Stir on low heat till the mixture collects in a soft ball or the ghee starts to separate.
  • Serve hot, decorated with a chopped almond or pista.
