Ingredients

  • 4-5 - bread slices
  • 1 cup - buttermilk
  • 1 tsp - ginger-green chilli paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1 - cheese cube, grated
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 - tomato, finely chopped
  • A few coriander leaves, chopped
  • A pinch of cumin seeds
  • A little butter or refined oil for frying
  • A pinch of pepper powder for garnishing

How to Make Quick Bread Omelette

  • Crumble bread slices, add buttermilk, salt and ginger-chilli paste and mix well.
  • Add cheese and mix gently.
  • Heat non-stick tava and add butter and cumin seeds.
  • When cumin splutters, add onion, tomato and coriander leaves and pour bread mixture over it.
  • Spread with hand or ladle in round shape, smear a little butter on the edge and cover.
  • Cook till light brown and crisp, turn on other side, smear a little butter and cook till light brown and crisp.
