Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup each - rajma, whole urad, Channa dal soaked overnight
  • 3 cup - water
  • 4 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - grated Ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp - curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Butter
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • 2 pinches - Asafoetida
  • 2 - whole chilli
  • How to Make Quick Daal Makhani:

    1. Pressure cook dal in water till tender
    2. When done, add the garlic, ginger and salt. Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 mins.
    3. Meanwhile, heat some oil, crackle the cumin and add in the remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 5 mins. Blend everything and serve with hot chapattis or rice
