  • 4 - left over chapattis
  • 1 to 1.5 cup - left over yellow dal
  • 2 tbsp - tomato puree
  • ghee to serve
  • coriander leaves to garnish

How to Make Quick Dal Dhokli

  • Cut the chapattis into small diamond shaped pieces, using a pair of scissors.
  • Add a cup of water and tomato puree to dal.
  • Add a little salt and heat the dal till it begins to boil.
  • Add the chapatti pieces and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Pour into serving bowls and pour some ghee on top.
  • Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
