Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Coriander seeds
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 2 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 1/4 cup - Red Quinoa
  • 2 tbsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup - Peanuts
  • 10 - Red Chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • 1 tbsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Quinoa and Peanut Spice Powder:

    1. Dry roast the dals along with red chillies and keep aside.
    2. Now, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, quinoa, peanuts, poppy seeds and roast them until they turn golden brown.
    3. Add the asafoetida powder and turmeric powder and stir for few minutes.
    4. Grind as a coarse powder along with salt. Use this spice powder for making dry curries.
    5. Store in an air-tight box and refrigerate for long use.
