Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Coriander seeds
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 2 tbsp - Urad dal
  • 1/4 cup - Red Quinoa
  • 2 tbsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup - Peanuts
  • 10 - Red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • 1 tbsp - Poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt - to taste

How to Make Quinoa and Peanut Spice Powder

  • Dry roast the dals along with red chillies and keep aside.
  • Now, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, quinoa, peanuts, poppy seeds and roast them until they turn golden brown.
  • Add the asafoetida powder and turmeric powder and stir for few minutes.
  • Grind as a coarse powder along with salt. Use this spice powder for making dry curries.
  • Store in an air-tight box and refrigerate for long use.
