Ingredients

  • 1 - Chopped Radish
  • 1 cup - Fried gram powder
  • 1 cup - chopped Onion
  • A few Curry leaves
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 3 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Mustard
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry

How to Make Radish Puttu

  • Dry fry the chopped radish and keep it aside.
  • Add oil in a saucepan and season mustard.
  • After it splutters, add urad dal.
  • When it turns golden brown, add chopped onion and fry.
  • Add the fried radish to it.
  • Then add asafoetida, chilli powder and salt to taste.
  • Add a little water and cook it.
  • After radish is cooked, add fried gram powder and curry leaves, cover with a lid and allow it to be cooked for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
