Ingredients

  • 1 - Chopped Radish
  • 1 cup - Fried gram powder
  • 1 cup - chopped Onion
  • A few Curry leaves
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 3 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Mustard
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • How to Make Radish Puttu:

    1. Dry fry the chopped radish and keep it aside.
    2. Add oil in a saucepan and season mustard.
    3. After it splutters, add urad dal.
    4. When it turns golden brown, add chopped onion and fry.
    5. Add the fried radish to it.
    6. Then add asafoetida, chilli powder and salt to taste.
    7. Add a little water and cook it.
    8. After radish is cooked, add fried gram powder and curry leaves, cover with a lid and allow it to be cooked for another 2 minutes.
    9. Serve hot.
